Allan L. Sodomsky - Managing Attorney at Sodomsky & Nigrini

Attorney Allan L. Sodomsky is a graduate of Reading High School, the University of Pittsburgh where he earned a Bachelor of Science and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he earned his J.D.

Attorney Sodomsky is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar as well as the United States District Court (Eastern, Middle and Western Districts), the District of Columbia, United States Court of Appeals 3rd Circuit and the New York Bar.

He is a Life Member of both the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He also a member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Berks County Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and the District of Columbia Bar Association. Attorney Sodomsky is qualified under Pennsylvania Rule of Criminal Procedure to handle death penalty cases.

Attorney Sodomsky has handled state cases in more than half of the counties in Pennsylvania and federal cases in all 3 of the federal districts in Pennsylvania.

Attorney Sodomsky has tried over 200 jury trials to verdict. He has handled every type of criminal case from harassment to capital (homicide) cases, from single defendant to
multiple defendants and from the factually simple to the complex.

Attorney Sodomsky has appeared in the media at the local, state and national levels on behalf of clients and as a consultant for media outlets. He has spoken at educational events and as a keynote speaker for various community/school events.

Attorney Sodomsky's practice is limited to criminal defense.

 

Jay Nigrini

Attorney Jay Nigrini is a lifelong resident of Berks County. After graduating from Wilson High School, he earned a full athletic scholarship to attend Syracuse University. Upon earning his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University, Mr. Nigrini earned his J.D. from The Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of law.

Mr. Nigrini began his legal career in the Berk’s County District Attorney’s Office. After prosecuting hundreds of cases, he joined the Law Office of Allan Sodomsky. For the past seven years, Mr. Nigrini has represented hundreds of individuals accused of various criminal charges.

Mr. Nigrini is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the United States Eastern and Middle District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Nigrini is qualified under Pennsylvania Rule of Criminal Procedure to handle death penalty cases. He is also a past president of the Berks County Young Lawyers Division.

 

Lara Glenn Hoffert

Attorney Lara Glenn Hoffert earned her B.A. at the University of Pittsburgh and her J.D. at Widener University School of Law. She is admitted to practice law before the
Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of
Pennsylvania and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Attorney Lara Glenn Hoffert concentrates her practice in criminal state and federal research, motions and appeals. She has significant experience in Appeals to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court concerning capital cases. In addition, she has had extensive experience with the Post Conviction Relief Act (PCRA) due to her position as PCRA conflict counsel for the Court of Common Pleas of Berks County, Pennsylvania.

She is a member of the Berks County Bar Association, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations.
